Cut Paste and Trace

About

all you architecture students ever do is cut, paste and trace”… said an ex-girlfriend.  The truth is thankfully a little more varied.  This portfolio website showcases some of the projects undertaken in studying and working towards becoming an architect.

I’m Martin Scott Andrews, and I like being creative, working on design ideas to produce things I like in my spare time.  Life in an industrial north-midland town has informed and inspired much of the thinking behind the work produced.  Regular visits to family in Italy have also proved to be influential.

A love of football, photography and architecture culminated in the production of ‘From Football Grounds to Soccer Stadiums’ (project 0905) – a 146 page book submitted for the Master of Architecture.  This piece of work uses family archive photography to assess the level and nature of change in the game, the venues used and the changes in life surrounding the sport.  A 120-page version of the book is available to buy in the Cut Paste and Trace shop.

Available on request for: writing, photography and talks on football venues – from past, present and future.
